Tonight... I dine in Kota!

WAHOW ! Wahow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS IT NA IT!!!!

Excited na ako... pero natatakot at the same time!!!

SHEEEEEEET!!!

This time... WALA!!!

My heaaaart! I'm so heart attack... Sana di ako maubusan ng English... basic Malay lang ang prinepare ko!!! yung mga thank you, sorry, good bye at good morning lang! Tapos dagdagan ko na lang ng ngiti... Taena, charm!!! Don't fail me now!!! Di man ako sexy (minsan), di man ako kagandahan (at times)... alam ko adorable ako parati!!!! (Unless naka-war mode ako)...

Let's camown!!!

(Part 1)

RADIO

My earliest memory of a radio station is the one which hosted Bombo Radyo... AM!

The more difficult the roads are to maneuver, the easier it is to ambush people! Substandard kalsada kasi yung mga pinapagawa madalas, so madalas masira... meaning, mas madalas may ambush!

Dinala kami sa room where they do the recordings. Andun na rin sa room yung mga props that they use to make the sound effects... a small door... small meaning, duwende sized door... to save space, I gathered, and a pair of high heels and regular shoes for the running/walking away sound effects, I guess.

Dun ko narealize that a voice indeed is a many splendored thing... Hahhahaha! May flamboyant gay person kasi na actor, may regular guy, tapos may girl... so ayun start na sila magbasa ng scripts nila... LAKING GULAT KO LANG NUNG MAGSALITA YUNG BADING! Hahahhahaah! I know that anyone can do different voices.... pero kasi di ba???! Pag nakikinig ka sa radyo, you always assume that what you hear is what you get... apparently, this would be one of the very few things where I'd be wrong! Hahahah!

So anyway... my next Radio-related encounter was when we had a part-time DJ for our History teacher... pogi na sana (actually crush siya ng mga kaklase ko.. matangkad at may itsura) kaso... parang may schistosomiasis (pronounced SIS-TO-MYA-SIS in pinoy slang haha!)... bloated yung tiyan niya... di naman sa ini-insulto ko yung bloated tiyan niya kasi hello lang! Ako rin bloated tiyan ko ngayon (btw, sexy pala ako dati di ko alam, akala ko mataba ako kasi I was basing my size on my petite cousin... malay ko ba na may body frame pang paepek epek.. if only I had known it then... mas nakapagyabang sana ako! ahhahaa!!) Anyway, Yep! Let's call it that.. bloated! It will eventually unbloat. I wish, hope, and pervently pray.

As I always, I digress. Ayun malaki tiyan ng teacher ko na yun... eh kaso ang tangkad tangkad tangkad niya tapos tingting yung katawan niya... so imagine a stick drowing na biglang may 3D na bola sa tiyan. Weird di ba?! Medyo di nakakaencourage maging motivation/inspiration sa pag-aaral... AS IF! hahha!

My last memorable radio encounter na nag-aaral pa ako was during college... Dinonate ng tatay ko yung JVC radyo niya sa akin... with a CD player, tapos may auto-tuning ng stations! AMAZING!!! (was what I thought back then. Hello!! When you're used to turning knobs and just depending on your fingers' dexterity to get the best reception there is... MILAGRO ang auto-tuning! Hahahaha!)...

Anyway, I used to listen to Jam! 88.3 kasi they used to play jazzy tunes... Eh si Jenggy, my oldest boardmate was into Jazz... so medyo nadamay ako... pero kasi minsan siyempre may tunes rin na di mo type... so kahit papano... you check out other stations...

Then one early morning... I don't really remember what day... hehehe! I discovered a station na sobrang nakakatawa lang yung pinaguusapan ng dalawang DJs parati... it was a feel good station... they were Chico and Delamar... Anyway, siguro 5 years later ko pa malalaman yung pangalan nila... OO! HINDI AKO UP TO DATE NA TAO!

It's always darkest before the dawn

The first half of my 2010 was one of the darkest of my life. Sure, a star would flicker now and again, but the dark would always come back. It was a time when I didn't know what to do with my life. I was agitated the entire time but I didn't know what to do about it.

I wanted to do something, anything... for myself, but I didn't know what it was. Knowing what you want and doing everything you can to get it but not quite getting it... is one thing. You can always try again another time or find another way how to get it. NOT KNOWING WHAT YOU WANT is another kind of a sonofabitch.

I'm not saying I know what I want in my life now, but at least I know some of the things I want to do... for now. I guess, I always knew I wanted to do these things but it's not easy to own up to what you want when you don't know where to start, when you have no idea HOW to start, when you have no inkling if you can really do it on your own.  But I guess the AAs got it right. The first step is admitting that you want it. THEN you find a way.

The second half of 2010 was my dawn. I got off my back, stood on my own feet, and restarted my life. It was still not the best of times. It is not yet the best of times. But at least... I got over one of the not-so-good times of my life.

I believe 2011 is my day. I know that it is a cliche to reboot on January. But then again, it is a cliche because it works and it is always good to start at the beginning. It may not work for some people, but I sure as hell am gonna try to make it work for me.

BESIDES, my birthday this year is 11-22-11... isn't it uber-fun!?!? Hahahahaha!

One of the Best Weddings Ever

I just attended one of the best weddings ever.

The wedding ceremony did not take as much time as other wedding ceremonies I have had to attend.

The backdrop of the wedding was gorgeous and my sweat glands did not have to work overtime to cool me off.

In the wedding reception, we were not made to wait to near starvation before we could eat.

It was the first wedding I attended where it was Ok to bring GP (Gin Premium) to the wedding with coffee for chaser to warm us up.

It was the first wedding I attended where the bride was being ribbed good-naturedly, albeit a bit too loud, while she was walking down the "aisle". More importantly, the relatives and the "other" friends were not being uptight about it.

Kaso shet lang sa lahat ng shet, for a while, I forgot who the bride and groom were and decided to wear super-duper-high-heeled pumps kasi the dress code in the invite indicated semi-formal/formal.

Result: Super awkward hike towards the wedding location while creating seed holes for new trees.

What I learned: Climbing down is more difficult than climbing up. High-heeled or hiking shoes: it doesn't matter. 4-inch heels just make you look more stupid.

WRONG TIMING!

I don't know what miracle this is... but apparently I have a super duper fast connection here at home. Usually, I can barely open my FB account... and the posting page here in blogger usually takes forever to load up, i.e. IT NEVER, NEVER LOADS!!!!

Kaso... just when the net connection exceeds the expectations... saka naman ako walang makwento!

I POSTED SOMETHING... JUST BECAUSE I CAN!

A Brief Blogging Background

I've been blogging since college. Kaso... sabog-sabog yung mga posts ko. I didn't bother with tags because I didn't really know how they worked and what they were exactly for. The moment I took the time to figure that one out... I already had too many posts to even bother going back and tagging all of them... soooo... I just went on my merry way and wrote to my heart's content... Nagkaproblema lang ako when I wanted to link one post to one of my older posts which I remembered writing about... tapos di ko mahanap yung lecheng post! Hahahaha! Magaling! Magaling!

Also, I have a hard time letting a blog go... I've had 3 blogs so far. One in Friendster (which I started when Friendster still reigned as king in the Online Social Networking World), another in Blogspot (which I started when I was studying HTML in college... wala pa kasing masyadong achuchuchu yung blogspot before... Kung gusto mo ng arte kelangan mo i-code using HTML... buti na lang ngayon click-and-drag na lang, otherwise I'd be publishing this post next week kasi kailangan ko pa ulit aralin yung HTML hehehe!), and of course... my sturdy Multiply blog (which I started noong college with a sprinkling of a few post kasi sort of umuso yung Multiply noon and I wanted to try writing there... which I then abandoned because I still preferred blogspot... which I again resurrected when I started working kasi... nevermind! sobrang highschool reason lang! hahaha!).

When I was blogging in Blogspot, I was still blogging a few post in my Friendster account as well. Eventually, I was able to let Friendster go. Kaso even when I started blogging in Multiply, I still posted some of my writings in my Blogspot account... I'm a 2-timing blogging beeyatch. Well... sort of...

Kaya ngayon, I declare... for good... goodbye Friendster! goodbye my other Blogspot blog! goodbye Multiply!

I know nobody really cares but me... hahaha! But I still need to know for myself that I can organize my life... even if it's only the virtual one! Hehehe!
